Oddly, this problem just started for me. This is the first time I've
tried updating my iPod Classic 160 since upgrading to the beta of Lucid
Lynx. Seems to affect only very large transfers - as stated earlier,
closes Rhythmbox with a segmentation fault. Please advise. Still
advisable to run

Hi,
This bug is valid but there are no crash reports generated, /var/crash is empty.
I get the crash/unexpected shutdown of rhythmbox when I connect a brand new
ipod nano and try to drag-drop soe files in it.
Its 100% reproducable, please do not close this bug its happening for
sure but there
reopening and adding the requested apport crash log. I'm experienceing
the same bug one brand new ipod.

bug is no use. Follow this instructions and report a new bug with apport
which should get an automatic retrace of the issue. Since you already

I am experiencing the same problems:
When adding songs rythmbox just segfaults.
On request i can try to provide debugging information. Please give me
some guidance / hints on how to best provide the information needed.
It is a 4gb Ipod with video screen.

I can confirm this bug.
On a newly formatted ipod, rhythmbox repeatedly crashes when adding music.
I get the same segmentation fault as Mitch Mahan.
Running ubuntu 8.0.4.1 fully updated.
I will try another distribution to see if it is reproducible and then
report back here.

I plugged in my Ipod this morning to get further debug info.
Everything works now though (I had transfered music to it using Winamp
at home).
Perhaps this bug is only a problem adding music to brand-new Ipod's?
It can't properly initialize a music folder or something similar perhaps?
