verified using a Macbook Pro running Ubuntu 8.04 natively. The fixes
for the bugs called out in the SRU changelog have all been verified as
well.

Hi,
I reviewed the proposed changes and am attaching a debdiff. I also
compared patches.
The only thing which I'm not 100% sure about is the OnlyShowIn change
which I know is fine for GNOME and UME, but I don't know whether cheese
is useful in Xfce and KDE for instance.

1) please target hardy-proposed
2) please drop the onlyshowin patch, not part of the new upstream version BTW;
this should be tried out in intrepid but doesn't close any bug in hardy and has
regression potential
