Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

cannot enter password in terminal after typing in a command! This
happens on both the 7.04 and 7.10 with any command i have tried. I was
trying to speed up computer . It was running slow with 7.04 but runs
even slower with the 7.10 upgrade! I would really like straight forward
answers on how to truly solve this problem. I am new to having my own
personal computer at home. I am so frustrated that i am considering not
continuing having a computer at all. Surly there has to be an answer to
these problems.
