Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
On all MacBooks, the Synaptics touchpad has the ability to detect the number of fingers held down whilst a stroke is made. Note, that not all Synaptics pads do support this, and that the even newer ones probably do something different (as they are "Multi- Touch"-enabled - i.e. able to detect entirely independent points). So: for unsupporting touchpads: keep the right/bottom edge scrolling. For supporting touchpads: remove right/bottom edge scrolling and enable two-finger scrolling ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Sat Jul 5 17:03:59 2008 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.04 NonfreeKernelModules: ath_hal nvidia Package: xorg 1:7.3+10ubuntu10.2 PackageArchitecture: amd64 ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:/home/username/.local/bin LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: xorg Uname: Linux 2.6.24-19-generic x86_64 ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- two-fingered scrolling should be default on all trackpads that support it https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/245839 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
