It's back, albeit on a different machine, GPU and Ubuntu version Ubuntu: 9.10 Driver: nvidia 185.18.36 Hardware: nvidia GeForce 8400 GS Seriously, is there any point in commenting on this ticket given it was first raised 3.5 years ago and is still a problem? Maybe this is the wrong ticket? --

This is a bug for me. My configuration is a Dell Latitude D800 using NVIDIA proprietary driver version 96. I tend to get horrible scrolling performance in any Firefox that is graphically rich (or maybe that's Adobe Flash doing that) , but nothing that corrupts like this. System Monitor: 2.26.0.1

Hi Phil, this is not a solution to this bug, but what about trying the nouveau driver? It's opensource from scratch and is included in Jaunty. Too bad up to now 3D is not supported, but if you use 2D-only stuff like me, I think you'll be quite happy. I'm using it on a couple of PCs and so

Can we reopen this bug? It is still an issue for me (has been for awhile.) It happens in a variety of programs (Firefox mostly.) It happens after I have had the system running for a long while (on the order of a few days.) nvidia driver 177.82 on a 8300GS. Interestingly enough, it has never
