Vertical/horizontal scrolling have always been enabled in System-Preferences-Touchpad after the upgrade to intrepid. I can also control horizontal scrolling with the setting in the Touchpad-tab. Setting vertical scrolling has no effect. I have also attached the output of 'xinput list-props'.

Does not work for me. Horizontal scrolling works as before, no change to vertical scrolling. It does enable SHMConfig, but wrt vertical scrolling nothing changes. Find attached the synclient -l report. BTW, you need to restart hal to to activate the above mentioned change. -Peter ** Attachment
