Since the hardware is no longer available for doing troubleshooting
with, we'll have to close the bug for now. However please feel free to
reopen if you or anyone else has the same HW and can reproduce this
issue using the latest development version of Ubuntu and is willing to
do some troubleshoot

Sorry not answering for long time. The problem was/is in my laptop,
which I've not been using it for sometime for these applications
anymore. I cannot at the moment update the system to Itrepid, because I
have done too much tinkering to make everything work (webcams, fn keys,

Yes, it is possible, I've found other bug reports in the intel bugzila site

describe a similar problem, but there is no clear activity on them.
