Still the same problem with ALPS touchpad/trackpoint, which are used in some Thinkpads (mine is a X300). Trackpoint tapping doesn't work, scrolling only when the touchpad is disabled in the BIOS. Some internet blogs suggest that this happens only on 64bit systems. uname -a Linux bensthinkpad
