- set your phone to be discoverable.
- open a terminal
Type sudo hcitool scan and tell me if you see your phone in the list (or
paste the output here).
Do you see some errors in logs the file /var/log/messages or
/var/log/dmesg that could conclude your bluetooth adapter is not
working?
$ sudo hcitool scan
Device is not available: No such device
tail /var/log/messages
