I think I was trying to install on 8.04 Hardy.
Anyhow I just compiled it from the source, and it works.
I had sort of the same problem with Adobe Acroread, but downloading the
.deb package from Adobe's site worked.

What is the package you are trying to install and from where?
The only packages I see available for gutsy from our official repo are:
2:1.0~rc1-0ubuntu13
2:1.0~rc1-0ubuntu13.2
2:1.0~rc2-0ubuntu1~gutsy1
None of which require those depends.
