I hope the fixed version makes it into Intrepid, because I can reproduce
this consistently whenever 3 or more image files are present in
/boot/grub/splashimages, and this means that simply having kubuntu-grub-
splashimages installed makes KGrubEditor crash on startup 100% of the
time.

@Connor Kirwan: That's it. The splashimages cause the crashes. I just
verified this by removing the images from /boot/grub/splashimages,
adding them one by one and strarting kgrubeditor after each image. After
the fourth image, kgrubeditor crashed.

Yeah, exactly same problem with me. It started just before 1 week. it
was not a problem earlier. Now the bug is fixed i am waiting for an
update
