Does the problem still occur if you remove/rename ~/.gnome2/mail-
notification so that it creates a fresh config?

Yes, I removed this folder and mail-notification started then Config
window appeared but after adding gmail account it segfaulted.
Please let me know what kind of info do you need, I'll try to provide
it.
