the main window is too large to fit on a 1024*768 screen and i cannot resize it
to shrink it down...
Using kubuntu on KDE4: some kde3 remains on my system but most is gone with the
upgrade to intrepid...
Since the change to kde4 and the new version 0.9 of KMM, i have this problem

This is apparently a problem of the Kubuntu package.
My recommendation is to remove it and use the PPA provided by one of our users.

Bug Squad, could you please confirm this bug in Intrepid and forward
upstream to the Debian packagers. I don't know how to check, but this
package is surely taken from Debian as-is, like previous packages.

It is certainly a problem in the KDE setup. Probably, you are missing a KDE
theme. The themes are ones in charge of showing the maximize, minimize, etc.
buttons.
Try installing kcontrol, and run it to check what theme you have installed for
KDE.

Do you have any other KDE application, like K3B or Amarok? Does it
happen there too?
Also, you should be careful when opening your 0.8.8 file in version 0.9
of KMyMoney. You can read it in 0.9, but if you save it with 0.9, you
should not open it with 0.8 anymore, because you will lose data.

Yes, I have other KDE applications like K3B, Amarok. It works fine. I
only have this problem with KMM.
For the file format compatibility I agree, thanks for your advertising I
know software never guaranty version compatibility from new to older
