I have this problem with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US;
rv:1.9.0.9) Gecko/2009042113 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.0.9.
Kill and pkill fail to terminate firefox after it locks up.

I'm not experiencing this anymore, don't know if o...@atkinsontech.com is, but
I think this can be marked as invalid and filed as something that happened once
and won't happen again..
If I'm wrong, feel fre to reopen it..

In order to kill a process that is stuck you can issue pkill. In this
case:
pkill firefox
If the process still won't die then you need to add the flag -9. I.e:
pkill -9 firefox

I know, my problem is not firefox (which is Mozilla's business :P ), but kill..
What if one day I'll need to kill a process which is using all resources on my
pc and i can't?

I think this might be two separate bugs. Firefox really shouldn't block
while closing, I've this issue in Hardy as well. I can't duplicate the
second issue though.
