Ok, I'll need some further directions on that. I enabled apport according to the article at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport (enabled=1 in /etc/default/apport, rebooted system) but it did not budge when evolution crashed. Also, I tried to get evolution to crash while being monitored by valgrind

This (or a very similar) bug still happens to me. Quite often when I switch to the calendar view (using the Exchange connector) evolution just crashes or displays Task unexpectedly aborted as well as Calendar unexpectedly aborted. The next few launches of evolution then usually lead to immediate
