So you have a LVDS, but not a VGA, so maybe the quirk will work the
other way -- i.e. disable the VGA... See e.g.

same -- a non-existent VGA connection is detected
Could you also attach the output of the command `lspci -vvnn`?
From Xorg.0.log it looks like you have a laptop with an external VGA
connected. Is that right? (Xorg sometimes gets this wrong and that can
lead to problems, see e.g.

Come to think about it, this is the same chipset as in bug # 277847, so
if you don't have a laptop display (LVDS in Xorg.0.log), it is probably
the same issue.
