when I run this command line to open a new window, and in the new window open a
new tab, it's disappointing that the zoom factor is not inherited; although
upstream has obsolete, can this still be fixed? to keep zoom factor applying to
all tabs in the same window?

Testing in Jaunty shows this is partially fixed - tabs are zoomed but
they all have the same zoom factor.
