It seems that my Virtualbox folder share was removed on install. I downloaded Gsambad, then added the share that had gone missing, even though Nautilus showed it as a share. Gsambad also told me that it couldn't find smb.conf. After that I reinstalled nautilus-share. Problem solved, high fives

Sorry for the spamminess of my posting, but I discovered that the problem wasn't fixed. Apparently, the upgrade obliterated my old /etc/samba/smb.conf file. When I restored the smb.conf file from backup, my settings were back, including my Windows network as well as my shared printer. So this
