Public bug reported: Binary package hint: verilog
vvd seems to have been compiled without zlib/gzip/bzip2 support, thus it won't produce LXT or LXT2 waveforms. Using version 0.8.5-1 of the package on Hardy. Package reports dependency on "libbz2-1.0", however that is not real according to ldd: $ ldd /usr/bin/vvp linux-gate.so.1 => (0xb7f7f000) libhistory.so.5 => /lib/libhistory.so.5 (0xb7f60000) libreadline.so.5 => /lib/libreadline.so.5 (0xb7f2f000) libncurses.so.5 => /lib/libncurses.so.5 (0xb7eff000) libdl.so.2 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libdl.so.2 (0xb7efb000) libstdc++.so.6 => /opt/Xilinx/10.1/ISE/lib/lin/libstdc++.so.6 (0xb7e1b000) libm.so.6 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libm.so.6 (0xb7df5000) libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 (0xb7dea000) libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 (0xb7c9b000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb7f80000) Explanation at Icarus Verilog website: http://iverilog.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:GTKWAVE ** Affects: verilog (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- vvd: "LXT support disabled since zlib not available" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271545 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
