Sorry for the delayed response. Everett, Intrepid is set to be released
in the next few days. Care to confirm with the final Intrepid release
that this issue is at least resolved for SD cards, as snowolfedu
commented. In the meantime I'll see what we can do to get the wiki docs

It turns out that my problem was related to one particular SD card of
mine; others were fine.
Unfortunately, Ubuntu was the only place this card did not work
properly; I could use it in my phone and under Windows (using my
laptop's card reader, where it didn't work in Ubuntu) without

I also have a T2010. I am using Intrepid Beta. I can plug an SD card in
and have it auto-mount (including F-Spot want to handle it if there are
photos on it).
I can't however mount an xD card or a 'Memory Stick' and have them
recognised - dmesg shows no sign of either being

by default in Intrepid.

Hi Everett,
Based on the dmesg output it appears the card is recognized by the
kernel when you insert it. Care to take a look at the following to
