I think that I misunderstood this bug. I thought that the problem was the lack of a tracker icon. But reading the original report I now realise the the problem is tracker-applet running when there is correctly no icon displayed. -- Tracker applet is run even though no tray-icon is shown

This is still the case with Intrepid. I'm not sure whether to send this upstream or not. After all, we are actually explicitly executing tracker-applet from gnome-session, so I'm not really sure if this should be dealt with upstream. -- Tracker applet is run even though no tray-icon is shown
