This has been fixed upstream. The fix has been released in Jaunty with
the inclusion of KDE 4.2 beat1. Packages are also available for Intrepid
via the kubuntu-experimental PPA.

Yes, that is correct. The crash actually happened a while ago, but only now
did the crash investigator compile a report. If this is what I remember, I was
looking at the memory section, and for some unrelated reason no swap partition
was mounted. That somehow caused a crash.
