Thank Andre, It worked! Shame that the USB install is just a copy of the Live CD install, I thought it would be almost like a full version of Ubuntu (ie without the Boot Installer Menu) Going to try it for a while and might switch if its better. Thx -- usb-creator crashed with AttributeError

Michael, I'm pretty shaky with this myself, but I'll share what I've gleaned so far: The tool you will need (on Ubuntu) is GParted. It's part of the default LiveCD, but seems not to be present on a standard desktop install -- if you don't have it you'll have to sudo apt-get install gparted in a
