Yup, it finished eventually, and became responsive again. By the way,
this is version 0.12.8 under Lucid Lynx 10.04. And while it was indexing
my NFS mount it crashed a few times, besides being unresponsive and not
redrawing the application on screen. All's well now that it's done
though!

I'm having the same problem with Lucid (>80G). The screen becomes
unresponsive. My NFS server's hard drive is grinding away, and system
monitor shows network traffic in the ~100KiB/s range, so I guess it'll
eventually finish if I just let it be for a few hours.

Same here in Hardy. Very slow reaction with nfs (>50G). Musicfiles are
not often shown in "Menu -> View -> Filesystem" (sometimes it works).
With ext3 all is working ok.

Same problem here since upgrade to Hardy,
Rhythmbox and Listen hang when updating Music Library ( >100 Gib NFS export)
Amarok does everything fine.

Well, RB doesn't crash anymore, but it still freezes, so I'm reopening
the bug.
I haven't gotten any info upstream on this; how can I troubleshoot/debug
that?

There is no 0.9.6 available yet, edgy is not likely to ship a non-
existant version. About the patch we could ship it with the package. Did
you try it? Does it fix your issue?

This will apparently be fixed in 0.9.6, but is still affected in 0.9.5
on Edgy, even though it is fixed upstream. Will 0.9.6 make it into
Edgy, or is it possible for this fix to be put into Edgy's version?
