I'm not sure what you mean by secure. It is not a supported
configuration, but it should be fine for testing purposes and you can
downgrade to the Intrepid version later if you wish. It would be ideal
if you could test with Jaunty itself, but it's understandable if you
cannot. The binary package/s

Mail-notification 5.4.dfsg.1-1ubuntu1 fixed an evolution crash. Could
you test with this version (available in Jaunty)? This is possibly a
duplicate of bug 251031. Thanks in advance.
