I am also using the vpn access to said university's network and I can
confirm that it works in the current Jaunty beta with netowrk-manager-
openvpn-0.7.1~20090213+bzr14-0ubuntu1.

Same here as mentioned by der_vegi (on 2009-01-05): Using
networkmanager from http://ppa.launchpad.net/network-manager the option
for TLS shows up, but settings are not safed. The connection then fails
and gives out a timeout message (see syslog attached).

As the vpn-connection is not too stable in combination with the wireless
offered, this is kind of annoying for beginners who have to use the

network-manager-openvpn 0.7-0ubuntu1~nm1~intrepid from
http://ppa.launchpad.net/network-manager now. I can indeed set TLS using
password-auth over advanced. But network-manager-openvpn does not save these
settings, the next time,
The fix has been upstream for almost 2 months now. Network-manager has
been updated in between, but not network-manager-openvpn?
