Public bug reported: I am using Ubuntu Hardy as it is and Pidgin was working perfectly, then without warning it crashed, and since then I have never been able to open it without it crashing within the first 2-5 seconds of opening.
I have fully removed Pidgin and all related packages and reinstalled them numerous times. I have been trying to fix this for about a month by searching online and asking for help on the Ubuntu IRC chat room --- without success.
