Can you please attach the file /etc/default/distcc and rename that
.distcc directory (also check if there's one in root's home directory)
It's likely a configuration issue because it can't be reproduced on a
new installation and there is no duplicate.

Im sorry, im detaching from this now. I switched from i386 to i32 X86_64
Architecture and this no longer applies.
I found the issue was related to .distcc was not empty during the update,
so it could not rm, to update.
