Public bug reported: With a Thinkpad T60, Intrepid suspends if I choose "Suspend to RAM" from the menu, but it does not suspend upon lid close. This is a regression with respect to Hardy and several releases before that.
Unlike bug 89860, if I do $ sleep 5; cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/*/state and then close the lid, I do properly get state: closed so I'm not certain that this is an ACPI issue. Also, when I choose suspend from the menu, upon wakeup I am no longer greeted with the request for my password. Since formerly I always suspended by closing the lid, I can't remember anymore whether the menu- driven suspend used to behave this way. I'd prefer to be required to type my password to resume. ** Affects: acpi (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Intrepid suspends, but not on lid close (T60) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/286912 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
