Have you realized the freezing occuring upon doing a certain thing in
kwrite. Does the crash happen after using kwrite some time, or can it
happen almost just after opening the program?

i've also gotten frozen in kmessenger now.
think it was after it started freezing in kwrite though.

this bug does still occur, yes.
also, sometimes its like the shift button is stuck on constant press, and i
just need to press it again.
Didn't figure that out right away though, and that is a bug.
here are the versions im using:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ kwrite --version
Qt: 3.3.8b
KDE: 3.5.10
its continuing to freeze even today.
but ive realised that if i press ctrl-alt-d
(which is a shortcut to minimize all programs)
and then i maximize the kwrite again and the freezing is gone.
its like that shortcut refreshes some memory which had a deadlock or
something.
