Public bug reported:

Sometimes windows controls are not drawn and they are unusable,
it is impossible to regularly close the windows (need to force termination of
the process).

When this happens firefox won't even start, and gnome-terminal is unusable.
Some other windows are fine though, for example calculator or vino confirmation
window of incoming connections.
Trying to take a screenshoot causes the X server to freeze (the screenshoot
attached was taken via vnc when the same problem appeared to another pc).

This seems to happen only when using pidgin, so I suspect the bug is in
one of the two plugins below (pidgin was working just fine without them
and both pc have the same plugins and plugins settings).

pidgin-encryption with option to draw locks near encrypted messages
and Mystatusbox (in package pidgin-plugin-pack) with statusboxes for each
account visible and global one hidden.

Closing pidgin, restating gdm, X-server or dbus does not fix the
problem.
