Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

At the end of installation, if the user is connected to the internet,
there should be a checkbox list of available ubuntu mailing lists and a
box to enter email address so he/she could easilly subscribe to some or
all mailing lists, with a strong recommendation to subscribe to at least
-announce and -security-announce.

A brief description of each list shoud be given, similar or equal to the
one already existing in lists.ubuntu.com, and a link to the list page
with full description and subscription options.

It could be something like:
----
You can (optionally) subscribe to announcement mailing lists and/or discussion
and support mailing lists.

->Announcement Lists
[] ubuntu-security-announce - Ubuntu Security Announcements (recommended) [more]
[] ubuntu-announce - Ubuntu Announcements (recommended) [more]

->Community Support
[] ubuntu-users - Ubuntu user technical support, not for general discussions
[more]
...

->Other Announcement Lists
[] bazaar-announce - Announcements for the Bazaar project [more]
...

->Development Lists
[] ubuntu-devel - Ubuntu Development (developers) [more]
...

You'll receive individual automatic confirmations in order to complete the
subscription process for each list you choose.
-------------

The string [more] would be a link to the list page (
https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/list ).

The short descriptions could be downloaded directly from lists.u.c so
that the whole config page would be up to date, and would only appear if
one is connected to the internet.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
