I'm still affected by this bug, and have partially verified that it
still exists in the 10.04 release. I'm running 8.04.4, fully updated
(kernel is 2.6.24-28-generic), and the affected adapter is an nVidia
MCP61 Ethernet adapter on the motherboard. The lockup only happens a
short time after noon
This bug report was marked as Incomplete and has not had any updated
comments for quite some time. As a result this bug is being closed.
Please reopen if this is still an issue in the current Ubuntu release
