Public bug reported:

The parallels modules on  Hardy 8.04 were not updated for kernel
2.6.24-21, they are still on 2.6.24-19. This is the third time this has
happened. Since this is an LTS release and Canonical sells Parallels I
thought they would be better at this. Is this the responsibility of the
parallels team or someone on the Ubuntu team? I don't think a kernel
update should be released on an LTS version without checking that
modules like Parallels (sold by Canonical) are updated.
