Eddie Hung: Your'e right. I fixed the resuspending issue by setting /apps/gnome-power-manager/actions/critical_battery to value nothing. But I still have the original problem. It seems in my case the problem is caused when the battery level is *not* critical, but goes critical during suspend

I never had this problem with a fresh install of 32-bit Karmic but after some updates (including kernel ones) I now have the issue on my Gateway NX100X laptop. If I have critically low battery power with the laptop plugged in and I suspend it, then unplug it from the wall, it will resume from

Ok, here I am. Now I'm sure it's a kernel bug. Now I'm using the Hardy kernel (Linux meleeisland 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP Thu Apr 10 13:23:42 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux) and suspend is working both on ram and disk. Just let me reboot to attach what you need -- automatic resume after suspend
