To others that have the same problem: This is a very easy solution: Add the
backports from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates/
repositories, and update your system.

I refer to my posting from 2008-12-22 : Even with Jaunty beta there is
no change whatsoever. TV is not working, and I still believe that the
TV-1 is not even recognized as a TV output, but as a regular monitor.

I have the same problem with the same set of hardware. My tv set is to PAL. So
I need an output as PAL.

Hi - I have the exact same issue as describes above. I have not been
able to set the TV-out to a resolution that is supported by my CRT TV.
I have tested the driver packages listed above with no success.
