I cannot reproduce your problem but I think that at least they're connected.
It seems like that the drivers locks up with top windows (as dragdrop, popup
etc).
I really hope they'll be able to fix it soon because here it's
everything too slow.

I'm not using compiz, I removed also all the compiz-* packages to be sure it
wasn't its problem.
If there's some info I can provide you just tell me, I'm using this box at work
but I cannot be productive with these xorg bugs.
btw: on 8.04 everything was ok, I never had a freeze, except for the
11 matches
