Are there any plans to release the fix for 8.04, or do i need to keep
running the kernel from fiesty to have working XvMC under 8.04?

As stated in the gentoo bug: there are no error messages in the Xorg log. This
error appears in application's (mythtv) stderr:
ViaXvMC: Could not allocate timestamp blit area.
This bug is about merging an existing patch. No investigation is needed
as I see it.

Hi roband,
Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log
file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to
your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.
