Public bug reported: Computer: HP Pavilion DV7-1120EO Distribution: Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64 With a fresh install (no upgrade) am I not getting any network to function. On the same machine I have also a fresh install of Fedora 10 whith both wired and wireless network functioning. The computer is behind a Belkin Router (as the one I am using now) and network manager reports after "Requesting a network address from the wired network..." that "The network connection has been disconnected"
I have googled and searched the forums to no avail. I have not yet tried to 32 bit version on the affected machine but I suspect it will work since I have never had a major problem with it. The DV7 can be used as test bench since I am not in a hurry getting it up and running and my goal is to get UbuntuStudio 64 working on it (I have the same fault with UbuntuStudio 64) ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- No Network on Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64 after install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/305698 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
