I don't mind the delayed response. :) This is not a wubi installation, I
used the Live-CD. The error has occured several more times during
updates/installations using adept - not at all limited to kernel
upgrades. But deleting everything in /var/lib/dpkg/info still solves the
problem.

Sorry for the delayed response to a bug you reported quite some time
ago. Can I ask if this is a wubi installation? The reason I ask it
this looks similar to bug 311280, and I'm guessing is likely a
duplicate. Please let us know. Thanks.
