Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.28-3-generic

I'm running Ubuntu on a Macbook Pro laptop (2nd edition) and I have an
encrypted root partition. Under intrepid, I get a password prompt
during boot and after I enter the password, the root partition is
decrypted just fine and booting continues. After upgrading to jaunty,
if I boot using the 2.6.27-9-generic kernel/initrd, everything is fine,
but if I boot with the 2.6.28-3-generic kernel/initrd (jaunty), then at
the password prompt, the keyboard does not work. Even hitting enter
does not bring up the usual "password incorrect" message, so I'm stuck.
At this point, if I connect an external USB keyboard then I can enter
the password and booting resumes normally. And the built-in keyboard
works just fine to login using GDM. Both initrds were generated after
the upgrade using "update-initramfs -k all -c". Please let me know what
further info I can provide.

My setup:
MacBookPro2,2 (dmidecode --string system-product-name)
Ubuntu 9.04 Alpha
linux-image-2.6.28-3-generic (version 2.6.28-3.4)
