Yes, I can also confirm it is still happening on Karmic as well. I have
personally fixed it by applying the attached patch on the init script
/etc/init.d/pound
** Attachment added: Patch for /etc/init.d/pound . Makes sure the directory
/var/run/pound exists before starting the pound daemon.
It's still happening in current Jaunty.
The problem is that while the deb package creates the /var/run/pound
directory on install, /var/run is a tmpfs ramdisk so the pound directory
disappears on restart.
The best solution would probably be to have the init script create the
directory on startup
Yes the issue still exists in both Jaunty and Karmic (Alpha 2).
