The whole point of that boot option, as I see it, is to quickly continue
booting without taking the time to do another trip through the BIOS.

All usb-creator should be doing is making
What if instead of searching for a particular drive to boot from, it
simply issued a halt or reboot command? Then you could choose in the
BIOS / Boot Options which disk to boot from in case your bootloader
isn't on the first hard drive.
