Public bug reported:
When the PC is first switched on. The display is wrongly detected and only a
low resolution (large letters) can be displayed.
After restarting X, the display is then correctly detected and the correct high
resolution is used.
This is a regression.
Hardy was fine.
Intrepid has the bug.
