could you please provide the following pieces of information?
- dpkg -l smartpm-core
- smart --version
- cat /etc/lsb-release
- sudo ls -la /var/lib/dpkg
- sudo smart update
If you are running intrepid, then please substitute the above smart
command paths with /usr/share/smart/smart
