I'm sorry but this is one more reason for me that you may be misclicking
somewhere. Could you try this 20-30 times with paying close attention to
make sure your click doesn't slip down.

Are you sure it's not your fault? You click on bookmarks, move down the
mouse and release the button at the add to bookmarks menu item. It can
happen very quickly without you even noticing it.
