Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
after the latest update of this package installed automatically, the battery monitory applet in Gnome stopped working properly: it reports whether or not i'm plugged into AC but power %age is always 0. the system still automatically suspends when power gets critically low, but i can no longer see the current percentage. /proc/acpi shows only BAT0, with this info: when i plug in AC, 'charging state' changes to 'charging'. dam...@damian-laptop:~$ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info present: yes design capacity: 0 mWh last full capacity: 0 mWh battery technology: rechargeable design voltage: 0 mV design capacity warning: 250 mWh design capacity low: 100 mWh capacity granularity 1: 10 mWh capacity granularity 2: 10 mWh model number: serial number: battery type: OEM info: dam...@damian-laptop:~$ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state present: yes capacity state: ok charging state: discharging present rate: 0 mW remaining capacity: 0 mWh present voltage: 0 mV dam...@damian-laptop:~$ Ubuntu version: Description: Ubuntu 8.10 Release: 8.10 apt-get policy: xserver-xorg-video-intel: Installed: 2:2.4.1-1ubuntu10.3 Candidate: 2:2.4.1-1ubuntu10.3 Version table: *** 2:2.4.1-1ubuntu10.3 0 500 http://at.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2:2.4.1-1ubuntu10 0 500 http://at.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10 Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.4.1-1ubuntu10.3 ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersion: Linux version 2.6.27-9-generic (bui...@rothera) (gcc version 4.3.2 (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu11) ) #1 SMP Thu Nov 20 21:57:00 UTC 2008 SourcePackage: xserver-xorg-video-intel Uname: Linux 2.6.27-9-generic i686 xkbcomp: ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- 2:2.4.1-1 broke ACPI on MacBook 2nd gen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/321815 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
