When attempting to load GDM on latest jaunty, xorg either fails to make use
of the Matrox video driver, or the Matrox video driver is for some reason
unable to identify the card in use. The
motherboard is an Abit BP6 with
Antti, this workaround doesn't appear to work for me, I still get
several flickers with several attempts, and then dropped at failsafe,
this is with a G550 card.

I have updated my ubuntu for testing to nearly full jaunty (kernel is
still 2.6.27-12 but this is an other bug)
In my computer runs a MGA 400 Card . If I do not install the nvidia-
glx-96 driver, the X-Server will not boot into gnome but reports an
WORKAROUND:
Enable textured xv option in /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Section Device
Option TexturedVideo True
Now Xserver doesn't fail to start. Video acceleration performance is, as
far as I can see, not hurt. Maybe driver should be patched to enable
TexturedVideo by default?
