By looking at the HTML source I found the direct URL
http://events.onlinebroadcasting.com/doncoxe/013009/playlist.php?doncoxe,013009,4,2,lo,2
which might work in Rhytmbox. No idea if it is static or if it changes
day by day.

You are right it does link to a standalone player and I didn't realize that
Rhythmbox wasn't meant to do this.
I have been very pleased, all in all, using Rhythmbox especially once I figured
out how to pick up and load podcast addresses.

I used a web browser to visit that link you provided. It only redirects
to a login page. I guess you are already logged in, and sees something
else.

Seems like a faulty link. Music is seldom delivered in the format
text/html.
