Public bug reported:

ubuntu 8.10
gnome-panel 1:2.24.1-0ubuntu2.1
amsn 0.97.2~debian-0ubuntu3

Steps to reproduce:
1. Enable autohide on the panel with the notification area
2. Launch aMsn and connect it to the network. The notification icon shows up.
3. Let the panel hide itself. While it is hidden, change status in aMsn (e.g
"Busy").
4. Move the mouse to the panel to show it. The aMsn icon is now blank.

This bug doesn't happen when autohide is disabled. Moreover, the icon
reappears when an other icon is added or removed from the notification
area.

** Affects: amsn (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
